The agreement
Abbelo is operated by Abbelo LLC, an Arizona limited liability company. By creating an account or using the website, mobile site, or any other surface of the product, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you may only use Abbelo with the permission of a parent or legal guardian who also agrees to these terms on your behalf.
Your account
You can sign up with email and password, with Google, or with Apple. You are responsible for keeping your password and connected accounts secure, for everything that happens under your login, and for the accuracy of the information on your profile. One account per person. If we discover duplicate accounts created to abuse referrals, top-up credits, or other limits, we may merge or close them.
Plans and pricing
Abbelo is a single plan: $10 per month. It includes 12 hours of voice each month, Tessa, every program, every mentor, every practice, and every other feature in the product. If you need more voice in a given month you can buy a top-up: $10 for 5 extra hours. Top-up hours never expire and roll over forever; plan hours reset at the start of each billing period and do not carry over. Prices are in US dollars. Founding members who sign up while the founding-member window is open lock in their rate for as long as their subscription stays active; the public price after the window closes may be higher, and we will give notice before any change that would affect existing subscribers.
Billing and auto-renewal
Payments are processed through Stripe on the web and through the App Store or Google Play if you subscribed in-app. Your subscription renews every month on the same calendar date as your original charge. You authorize Abbelo and the payment processor to charge your payment method on file at each renewal until you cancel. If a charge fails, we may retry it and may pause access until it clears. Top-ups are one-time charges; they do not renew.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel anytime from Settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal but does not refund the current period; your paid access continues to the end of the period you already paid for. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months or unused voice hours. If you believe you were charged in error, email us and we will look at it.
What Abbelo provides
Abbelo is a self-development product. It includes Programs (courses, daily practices, mentor sessions, and stacks that bundle them), Tessa (an analyst that scores who you are becoming and what is dragging you), voice sessions with Abbelo, Chats with Abbelo and other people, a Feed where you and the people you follow can post, Notes, Bookmarks, a Brain that builds a private model of you as you use the app, Paired for doing programs with someone else, Reports summarizing your week, and a Checklist of your daily non-negotiables. Features ship and change continuously; we may add, modify, or retire features as the product evolves.
AI and voice sessions
Abbelo uses AI to power voice sessions, chats, Tessa, the weekly briefing, the Judge that scores your sessions, and most other places the app talks back to you. Voice sessions are transcribed in your browser and the text of both sides of the conversation is sent to our AI provider and stored under your account. AI outputs are generated, not researched. They can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Abbelo is not a doctor, therapist, lawyer, or financial advisor and nothing it says is professional advice. If you are in crisis, contact a qualified professional or emergency service.
Your content
Anything you write into Abbelo — voice transcripts, chats, feed posts, notes, bookmarks, commitments, programs you author, profile bio, replies — is yours. You grant Abbelo a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display, and process your content for the purpose of running the service for you: powering Tessa and your Brain, displaying your feed posts to people you have chosen to share them with, computing your scores, training your personal model, and improving the product in aggregated, de-identified ways. You can delete your content from inside the app, and that license ends for any content you remove.
Creator program
You can publish your own programs on Abbelo. When a member buys one of your programs, you keep 97% of the sale and Abbelo keeps 3%. Creators who publish their first program on or after August 24, 2026 move to a 90/10 split. Payouts run through Stripe Connect to a bank account you connect from inside the app. You are responsible for the content of your programs, for having the rights to anything you upload, and for any taxes on what you earn.
Affiliate and referrals
Every account ships with a personal referral link. When someone signs up through your link and starts a paid plan, you earn a one-time cash bonus on their first payment: 10% at Starter, 15% once you reach 25 paid referrals (Silver), and 20% once you reach 50 paid referrals (Gold). Referral commissions are paid in cash through Stripe Connect. We hold each commission for 30 days from the referred user’s first payment to cover refund and chargeback windows, and we batch payouts so a minimum balance of $25 is required before a transfer is released. Self-referrals, fake accounts, incentivized signups that the referred user did not actually choose, and any attempt to game the program are not paid and may close your account.
Acceptable use
Do not use Abbelo to break the law, harass or threaten people, post sexual content involving minors, impersonate someone, spam, scrape the site, reverse-engineer the product, abuse the AI to extract its system prompts or other backend behavior, or use Abbelo’s outputs to train or evaluate a competing AI product. Do not upload content you do not have the right to upload. We need this baseline to keep the community usable.
Suspension and termination
If you break these terms, we can warn you, restrict features, pause your account, or close it. Serious or repeated violations get no warning. If we close your account for a violation, you are not entitled to a refund of fees already paid. You can close your own account anytime from Settings.
Disclaimers
Abbelo is provided as is. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we disclaim implied warranties to the maximum extent the law allows. Abbelo is a tool for self-development and learning. It is not therapy, medical care, legal counsel, or financial advice, and your results from using it are your own.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Abbelo LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost goodwill. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the service is capped at the amount you paid Abbelo in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify Abbelo LLC and its team from claims and costs that arise out of your content, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. When something material changes, we will email the address on your account or post a notice inside the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Abbelo after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Before filing anything formal, you agree to first contact us at hello@abbelo.com and try to resolve the dispute directly for at least thirty days. If that does not resolve it, the dispute will be settled by binding individual arbitration administered under the consumer rules of a recognized US arbitration provider, seated in Arizona. You agree not to bring class actions against us. Either party may still seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement.
