How Abbelo helps sales teams
A friend asked me how Abbelo could help his sales team.
Let’s say someone comes to Abbelo and says, “I want to get better at sales.” Abbelo gets clear on what they mean by “better at sales” and where that person is now.
Maybe they don’t believe they can sell the product, struggle to approach people, or need to work on handling objections and closing.
Abbelo builds a path of Programs broken into sessions around those needs. As they work through sessions and share what happens in real life, Abbelo spots patterns, gives feedback, and adjusts the path around their goal.
The sessions focus on what that person needs to work on. The goal is to spend less time sorting through information and more time practicing and applying what they learn.
I want coming back to Abbelo to feel as easy as opening social media, with that time spent building skills people can use in their lives.
That person who wants to get better at sales might also want to get in better shape. Abbelo can work with them on that too. They might want to build confidence, provide for their family, or work on a relationship. These parts of life are connected like a spider web. What you learn in one area can change how you show up in another.
For a sales team, we could build a private Program inside Abbelo. New and existing reps could enroll to learn how the team wants them to represent the brand, sell the product, give demos, handle objections, and close. Each rep’s sessions would focus on what they need to practice while learning the team’s culture and process.
We could also build a way for reps to share their progress with a manager. That could give the manager a clearer view of where each person needs support and which opportunities they may be ready for. Reps would choose what they share, and their private conversations would stay private. These team features are ideas we want to build.
It’s great to bring on a star player, but that doesn’t happen often. We have an opportunity to build an environment that develops people into star players.
I would rather bring on someone who lacks experience but has ambition, is willing to learn, and fits the culture than a star player who doesn’t align with it.
That’s what I see for Abbelo. Give people the tools to build themselves into the people they have the potential to be.
